Ismaili literature is the literature belonging to the Shiite Ismaili community (followers of the Aga Khan) of India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and elsewhere. With this catalog, the Harvard collection of Ismaili literature becomes the only collection of its kind available for scholarly research. The catalog records some 1,350 individual texts and manuscripts in several scripts, consisting mainly of religious literature dating from the late 18th century to the mid-20th century. The catalog proper is preceded by an introduction and descriptions of manuscripts, and followed by indices, an appendix (transliteration system), and selected bibliography.
