Reading copy only. Boards detached and spine leather lacking. Boards edgeworn, cracked, and chipped, and layers of rear board separating. Page edge gilt faded. Rear half of latches lacking. Front endpage lacking, and preliminary pages, to the beginning of "Biographical Sketches," detached. These pages also quite edgeworn. Spine cracked in a few places, and page 579/580 torn nearly in half. Final page detached and edgeworn. Pages moderately toned and somewhat fragile, but plates are beautiful and bright. Family record pages used, recording the 1882 marriage of Joseph E. Bishop (son of John and Theresa) to Mary C. Cook (daughter of Philip and Margaret), and the births and deaths of their children.
