Red leather title label to third compartment, and black leather volume lable to seventh compartment. Titling and volume number to labels in gilt. 591pp. Reading copy only. Typical shelfwear, with boards scuffed, corners worn, and spine creased. Rear hinge cracked and front hinge starting. Spine tips frayed. Hinges cracked. Early owner's name inked to title page has been cut out, leaving only flourishes. Second early inked name to bottom of title page. Spine cracked in several places with numerous detached pages. Page 155/156 lacking. This book appears to have been partially restored in the past, with new mull, and new green endsheets glued to hinge but not pasted down to inside of boards.
