Description

This volume launches a series, which is devoted to publishing historical documents in the Archives of the History of American Psychology at the University of Akron. An experimental psychologist at the Carnegie Nutrition Laboratory in Boston, Miles (1885-1978) embarked on a four and a half month tour of Britain and the continent to re-establish transatlantic links in the mental health professions that had been severed by World War I. His report describes his visits to 57 laboratories in nine countries. This is a facsimile of his typescript, scanned then electronically processed to enhance the contrast. His photographs and drawing, and handwritten captions and corrections are all preserved. An index has been added. Annotation ©2010 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com) Read More
