Aldrich sends his best regards / to Mr Shattuck / Dec 29", 1858." Good book. Spine ends worn and chipped. Boards edgeworn, corners bent. Owner's name and extensive gifter's inscription on half title verso. Binding shaken; second signature nearly detached. Grease stain at bottom of pp. 20-31;smaller stains top pp. 30-35 and bottom 11-14.
