Floral decorations accenting text to front board and along spine at both front and rear. Globe to top of front board and device to rear. Titling in gilt to spine and marbled page edges. 32+100 printed pages. German. 100 color plates. A near-good book with head of spine 1-inch erose and foot 2.5-inches erose. Boards soiled, with prominent 1-inch pale spot to front board near spine, and numerous other smears and spots across boards. Bottom 2.5 inches of fore edge shallowly dampstained through about plate 51. Hinges cracked. Short modern gifter's inscription inked to half-title page. Numerous small smears throughout. Plates 16-19, 38, 46, 62, 63, and 64 quite smeared and foxed. Handprint to plate 36 verso, and plates 36 and 37 loose and taped in. Plates 50 and 51 loose. Plate 55 damp spotted, but plates generaly bright and clear. Inquire if you need further information.
