This collection for undergraduate and graduate students contains 35 essays on ethics in sport. Morgan (sport humanities, Ohio State U.) brings together essays from 1964 to the present on metaethical considerations, competition and fair play, doping and genetic enhancement, gender and sexual equality, and other issues such as violence, exploitation, race, spectatorship, and disability. This edition has been updated to include an introduction to ethics, and about half of the essays are new, three of which are previously unpublished. Sections on fair play and social ethics have been expanded, and the section on drug use and genetic technology has been redone. Annotation ©2007 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
