In this follow-up to her previous book It's Being Done: Academic Success in Unexpected Schools, which profiled 15 successful schools, Chenoweth, an education writer who works for The Education Trust, explains how schools with high-poverty and high-minority student populations have improved student achievement and lowered achievement gaps.
