This report attempts to define and describe elements that enable individuals in a research organization, regardless of their background or their role in the organization, to act with integrity. The report identifies practices that characterize integrity in such areas as peer review and research on human subjects, and weighs the strengths and limitations of self-evaluation efforts by research institutions. An approach for promoting integrity during the education of researchers is outlined. Annotation ©2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
