This pocket guide (4.5x8") digests the information and process found in the author's Nursing Diagnosis Manual. The book is designed to help student nurses and practitioners identify interventions commonly associated with specific nursing diagnoses as proposed by NANDA International (NANDA-I). The first three chapters review the nursing process and how to apply it, and present sample assessment tools and mind mapping tools for creating a plan of care and guiding documentation. The next chapter, the bulk of the book, presents nursing diagnoses in alphabetical order. For each nursing diagnosis, information is provided on taxonomy, domain, class, code, diagnostic division, and related risk factors and defining characteristics, as well as desired outcomes and evaluation criteria, actions and interventions, nursing priorities, and documentation tips.
