AEG. 183+337pp. 70+60 egraved plates. Reading copy only. Boards heavily soiled. Gouges to edges of boards. Both books disbound with boards detached and spine cloth lacking; Volume 1 text block split in half, but Volume 2 text block completely disbound. Pages torn and chipped. Dampstaining along spine of Volume 1 near front. 1.5 x 2 inch piece of Volume 2 front board cloth missing near spine head on front board. Scraps of tape to Volume 2 boards along spine, and intermittent dampstaining to fore-edge; intermittent silverfishing. Pages of both volumes remain generally clean and bright, with beautiful plates.
