Although Ralph Nader has never held political office, he has been a grassroots political leader for over 50 years. Here he collects more than 100 letters he wrote and sent to Presidents Bush and Obama. The letters cover most of the major issues that concerned or should have concerned the Presidents, beginning with some letters to Bush in 2000 when he was Governor of Texas. They are timely and most of them frame requests for action. Some of the actions requested are small, such as for George Bush's thoughts about waging peace rather than war. Some are larger, as when Nader asks Bush to commit to not using weaponry that poses special dangers to civilians, like cluster bombs. A number of the letters had been signed by others, as well. He received only four responses in total, all very short, all from staff members, and not the Presidents. Annotation ©2015 Ringgold, Inc., Portland, OR (protoview.com)
