Webster Dictionary defines Mentor as a trusted counselor or a guide, hence mentoring is a conscious act of guiding an individual. I don't recall when I actually started mentoring, but the transition in retrospect was a natural progression of my own development. However, I do recall a host of meaningful conversations I have had within my lifetime, and they truly demonstrate my mental makeup and my propensity to form mentoring bonds. Mentoring is a mental process providing a symbiotic relationship between mentor and mentee. It produces a mental acumen for the development and expansion of universal thought patterns.
