Contents clean and binding sound. Front endpaper is signed by Mendel Peterson, pioneer in the field of underwater archeology and former curator of the Smithsonian, with his bookplate to front pastedown. Laid in is a 4 pg typed letter from the Office of the District Commissioner of Auki Malaita dated 1945 regarding the making of shell money, bead money etc in the district.
