NY: D & J Sadlier 1863. 2 volume set. Presumed 1st US, same date on title pg and copyrt pg. Hardcovers 12mo 823 pgs. B/w frontis in each. Good. Dark green textured cloth with gilt on spine. Corners and spine ends worn. Tissue guard on vol 1 frontis is torn. Front endpaper vol 1 torn out. Owner's gift inscription dated 1873 in ink to 2nd front endpaper of vol 1 and his name in ink to next front endpaper. Contents clean but both have scattered foxing. Bindings sound.
